I am so thrilled to share this very special project with you. Illustrating Willow Tree Lake: Calvin the Swan and Bartholomew Drake by author Rose English has been one of the most joyful and creatively fulfilling commissions I have ever undertaken, and I am incredibly proud of the result.

 

A Story Told in Watercolour and Pencil

This beautiful children’s book called for something truly unique, and I loved every moment of bringing its world to life. I created a full cover illustration, originally hand painted in watercolour and then carefully digitally formatted to wrap around the finished book. Alongside the cover, I produced eight whimsical pencil illustrations to accompany Rose’s story throughout the pages, each one capturing the charm and playfulness of the characters within.

From the delicate washes of watercolour on the cover to the warm, hand-drawn quality of the interior pencil work, every illustration was created with the same care and attention to detail that I bring to all of my commissions.
