Your wedding day is filled with moments that pass in a heartbeat. A live wedding painting lets you hold onto them forever.

As your celebration unfolds around me, I hand paint directly onto canvas in acrylic, whether that is the grandeur of your venue, an intimate portrait of you and your partner, or a combination of both. I capture not just what your day looked like, but how it felt. The light, the atmosphere, and the little details that make your celebration entirely your own.

Before your big day, we will have a relaxed consultation to talk through your vision together. We will plan the scene, the size, and the moments you most want captured, so that when the day arrives, every brushstroke is thoughtful and intentional. I complete any final finishing touches in my studio afterwards, with your treasured keepsake ready within six weeks of your wedding day, subject to current workload.

Q: What is the difference between studio and live illustrations? A: Studio illustrations are carefully created in my studio from reference photos or your ideas, allowing for detailed, polished work. Live paintings are created on-site during your event, capturing the atmosphere, energy, and special moments in real time.

Q: Which mediums do you offer? A: I offer both watercolour and acrylic for studio illustrations. Live wedding paintings are created in acrylic.

Q: What sizes are available? A: Studio illustrations: Watercolour A5, A4, and A3. Acrylic 9×12″ and 12×16″.

Q: How long does a live painting take? A: Live paintings typically take between 3 and 8 hours depending on the size and complexity. We will plan the timing together during your consultation so everything fits beautifully into your day.

Q: Do you travel for live events? A: Yes, I am based in Lossiemouth and am happy to travel across Scotland and beyond. Travel costs are included within 60 miles of Lossiemouth and then charged at 60p per mile for venues beyond that.

Q: What happens if my live painting is not finished on the day? A: To ensure that you receive a painting that is to a high standard I will add the finishing touches in my studio and send it on to you once completed, within six weeks of your wedding day, subject to current workload.

Q: When will I receive my finished studio illustration? A: Studio illustrations are carefully completed and delivered within the agreed timeframe after your order is confirmed.

Q: What happens after I commission a piece? A: Once your order is confirmed, I will discuss your vision, preferred style, and any details you would like included. For live paintings, we will plan the logistics, timing, and scene together ahead of your big day. For studio illustrations, we will agree on reference photos or ideas to work from.

Q: Can I request specific details or custom elements? A: Absolutely! I love creating bespoke illustrations and can incorporate special elements, beloved pets, or meaningful objects into your piece. Additional complexity may slightly affect the price, and we will always discuss this openly before you commit to anything.
